We all know that we should never leave a dog alone in the car during extreme temperatures.

When it’s not too hot or too cold, however, there’s a little bit of leeway. You might be able to pop into the store for a minute while your dog takes a breather in the car. That is, as long as your dog doesn’t figure out how to use the horn to demand you come back immediately.

One man heard continuous honking coming from a car and thought he saw a human sitting in the front seat. What he found instead is too funny for words.

Having escaped the wrath of Hurricane Irma, Travis Gonzalez and his family thought they were in the clear when it came to life-threatening scenarios.

Unfortunately, there was another hidden danger waiting for them inside their SUV. Waiting out the storm in a cabin in Tennessee, Gonzalez was stressed out when he learned that he had left his car doors unlocked and a duo of sneaky criminals had locked themselves inside.

During their standoff, the unwelcome guests ripped apart portions of the man’s dashboard and destroyed the upholstery of the front seats.

Car rides tend to be long and tiresome.

On more than one occasion over the course of my childhood, I asked the question that every parent dreads: “Are we there yet?” They says it’s not the destination but the journey that’s most important, but good luck telling that to this overly excited pooch.

At first glance, the critter in question appears calm and collected…but then he figures out where he’s going: the dog park. When he finally gets a peek at all the fun to be had, he goes absolutely berserk. At one point, the excited dog can be seen taking over the driver’s seat. That human just needed to go faster!

I don’t think I’ve even been this excited about anything…except maybe ice cream. Yeah, definitely ice cream.

There’s nothing I love more than a successful birthday surprise.

Pulling off such a feat can be tricky, and my mother has ruined quite a few of them over the years by opening her mouth (but we all still love her anyway). After watching how this grandson gave his grandmother the best birthday surprise ever, I think it’s time I turned the tables on my mother by pulling off something similar. Let’s just hope I can keep a secret.

In this case, our unsuspecting birthday girl climbs into the passenger’s seat of her grandson’s car, anticipating a fun day out with one of her favorite people. He begins to fiddle with the radio when a special announcement comes over the speakers, and what happens next sends the adorable granny on an emotional rollercoaster.

This really takes the birthday cake!

Here’s hoping I can keep my big mouth shut long enough to plan my mother a birthday surprise half as amazing as this one!
